The reason why I teach

The reason why I teach: I began to cry one day in front of my toddler students (because of something that happened outside of work), one of my students asked "What's wrong Fee-sha (they can't say Felecia :))?" and another student kissed me on my cheek and said "It's ok Fee-sha". It's moments like these that make my day. The reason why I work in childcare. The reason why I teach!

My Students Artwork

I work with 18month olds to 24 month olds at a childcare center.  I enjoyed planning and implementing art projects for my students and they get a kick out of art time, especially painting.  For fall we created pumpkins with paper plates and orange paint.  We also made a picture of leaves falling with each child's handprints.  I titled this bulletin board "Creative Artists", because it shows the creativity of my toddlers and how independent they can be.

New to blogging

This is my first time blogging so I'm currently learning the ropes.  It seemed like it took me forever to try to figure out how to start a blog.  But continue to check out my blog, as I will be adding different posts related to my views and experiences in the wonderful world of Early Childhood Education. :)
